Lalala: soon (in september) it will be ONE year since the first mysql release candidate for 5.1. I would say this is huge, and was expecting to see the stable version released in a couple of months like previous mysql releases. But still… maybe the sun acquisition got in the way somehow, I don’t know what to say.
Honestly I am also looking forward for the stable release 5.1 for a couple of projects, but I also know people (big sites) that use the 5.1rc in production because they needed the new features and couldn’t wait more for the release.

I guess time (or some insider from mysql) will tell better, but I assume this will happen quite soon now and the final release is imminent.
